Meet the Team

Originally from the North of England, Philip studied at Saint Martins College, Lancaster graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Youth and Community work. Philip then embarked on a successful career in London, working for various local authorities as a Youth Participation Manager, and ending as a policy consultant for Children and Young People in Central Government.
After working with Secondary age children, Philip decided to retrain and become a Primary school teacher, graduating with a PGCE from the University of Keele. Following this, Philip spent 5 wonderful years at a British International School in Bangkok. During which time, he worked in KS1 and KS2, held leadership positions in Science, IPC coordinator and whole school House lead. Most recently, Philip has been working in an IB school here in Dubai. Philip is passionate about STEM and believes in nurturing a growth mindset in children.
Philip and his wife have travelled extensively, and spent a year volunteering in Ghana, Zimbabwe and Nepal during which time they helped establish a Montessori school for children rescued from prisons.
In his spare time, Philip can be found on the Al Qudra cycle track, swimming or playing football, as well as enjoying all the Dubai attractions, with his wife and two young daughters.

Justin John-Baptiste joins Arcadia School as Head of Computing & Digital Innovation, bringing eight years of classroom leadership and a track record of transforming technology learning in two British primary schools. As a member of both schools’ Senior Leadership Teams and Deputy DSL, he designed and rolled out parent workshops, newsletters, showcase events and mentored colleagues to integrate technology into every lesson. A passionate collaborator, Justin partners with teachers, parents, and the wider community to create safe, inspiring, future-ready classrooms. Outside school hours, you’ll find him prototyping new projects, or curating the latest ed-tech tools to spark children’s curiosity.
